1. Utilize tools developed by LuCa National Training Network, GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer and numerous other organizations for:
   • Determining patient eligibility for CT lung cancer screening (CTLS)
   • Offering video/online patient education about CTLS prior to shared decision-making (SDM)
   • Conducting brief and up to date SDM discussions with current benefits and risks
   • Referring for CTLS to appropriate facilities
   • Treating tobacco use effectively with pharmacotherapy, brief counseling, and external assistance
   • Managing screening results with Lung-RADS
   • Partnering with specialists for whole-patient care during lung cancer treatment
2. Describe resources to support patients and caregivers during the process of lung cancer detection, diagnosis, and treatment
3. Identify opportunities for peer learning and/or technical assistance that can help strengthen a lung cancer screening program
4. Access free live and recorded CME/CE offerings for primary care providers and other clinicians

About the Speakers

Angela Criswell

Associate Director, Quality Screening and Program Initiatives, GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer

Angela Criswell serves as Associate Director, Quality Screening and Program Initiatives, for GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer (formerly LCA) where she provides technical assistance to lung cancer screening programs to advance best practices and facilitates program engagement within the Screening Centers of Excellence network.

She has been appointed to the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) Smoking Cessation and Tobacco Control Committee, the National Lung Cancer Roundtable Tobacco Treatment and Implementation Strategies Task Groups, and the board of the Kentucky Prevention Network.

She was recently recognized with the 2020 Timothy W. Mullett, MD, Lung Cancer Prevention Award from the Kentucky Center for Smoke-Free Policy, University of Kentucky College of Nursing, BREATHE (Bridging Research Efforts and Advocacy Toward Healthy Environments) program.

Previously, Angela managed the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program.  She taught political science at the college level for 8 years, has an M.A. from the University of Virginia, and is a Certified Prevention Specialist.

Celeste Worth

Director, LuCa National Training Network at the University of Louisville

Celeste Worth has over 20 years of experience in cancer control and provider education. She is the Director of the LuCa National Training Network, a national center for primary care provider education on lung cancer care based at the University of Louisville. She was previously a co-investigator for the Provider Education component of the Kentucky LEADS Collaborative lung cancer project for four years. Ms. Worth is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist, as well as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, and received her degree in Health Administration from the University of Kentucky. She has also co-authored a book chapter on tobacco use and control in the soon to be published Lung Cancer: New Standards of Care. Ms. Worth is a member on two task groups of the National Lung Cancer Roundtable, is chair of the CME Review subgroup, and a member of the American College of Radiology Lung Cancer Screening 2.0 Steering Committee.
