NCC Offers Spring Internships
12 December, 2016
We've always relied on volunteers at NCC. For the first decade of our existence we were entirely volunteer-driven--a coalition of volunteer members creating the state cancer plan and developing an annual summit and coalition membership meeting.
Fast forward to 2016 and NCC still relies up on those members to volunteer their time to help us accomplish our work. It's also the first year that we've opened up opportunities for community volunteers to help NCC accomplish our goals. Our Sun Smart Nevada program has participated in a number of outreach events and volunteers have helped us to share sun safety messages to Nevadans.
On this International Volunteer Day, December 5, we're excited to announce a great (volunteer) internship opportunity for a student to help develop an official NCC volunteer program. From developing roles and responsibilities to creating orientation and training materials, the internship is robust and (we think) exciting. Here's the full description for the Volunteer Program Development internship.
Here are two other internship opportunities:
- Strategic Communications Internship - assisting with developing of public relations and communications materials
- Cancer Prevention Programs Internship - working on tobacco and skin cancer prevention programs
