Nevada Advisory Council on Palliative Care and Quality of Life
11 November, 2021
The purpose of this council is to work with the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services to establish an information and education program and to assess the availability of patient-centered palliative care in Nevada.
DHHS is required to encourage hospitals, assisted living facilities, and facilities for skilled nursing with 100 beds or more to educate their physicians, nurses, and clinical staff members regarding palliative care; identify barriers to access to palliative care in Nevada; and to provide information and resources to patients or residents regarding palliative care.
