Summit Scholarships Now Available
06 June, 2018
We have scholarships!
This year the Nevada Cancer Control Summit has a limited number of scholarship opportunities for both students and cancer registry professionals who wish to attend the Summit but may not otherwise be able to attend due to cost. This exciting opportunity has been made possible through support from the Heath Foundation, which supports cancer research and advocacy, and the Nevada Central Cancer Registry.
Medical, physician assistant, nursing, and pre-med students, or those seeking a career in cancer registry work, are all invited to apply for the scholarships, which cover registration costs for attendance at the Summit. Students can attend specific sessions or any portion of the full day of the conference. It's an opportunity for them to not only learn from the presentations, but to network with professionals working within their chosen field.
Cancer registry professionals can apply for scholarships that cover registration, travel, and accommodations, or any combination of those. The Summit offers a half-day of registry-specific sessions led by Denise Harrison, back for a second year by popular demand. Registry professionals are also able attend the remaining sessions on the agenda to round our their CE credits.
Attendees interested in applying for a scholarship are required to complete and submit the Nevada Cancer Control Summit Scholarship Application Form no later than July 15, 2018. Click here for details.
