Caregivers — the unsung heroes of the cancer care team
Cancer’s impact goes far beyond the person diagnosed with cancer — it ripples through the lives of everyone who cares about that person. As a caregiver, you have likely felt this quite profoundly.
A caregiver can be a spouse, friend, neighbor, family member — anyone who is helping a cancer patient deal with managing a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Caregivers can also be healthcare workers hired to care for someone in the home. We realize that the role of caregiver often falls on someone close to a person diagnosed with cancer who either offers to help or is assigned the role.
At ThriveNV, we have a special spot in our hearts for caregivers — the unsung heroes of the cancer care team. We want you to know you are not alone. This website is a space for you to learn, connect, and get support, so you can continue doing the vital work of being a supportive team member and caregiver.
