ThriveNV Team

A community of support, hope and empowerment

ThriveNV is a program of Nevada Cancer Coalition (NCC) — a statewide non-profit community collaboration working to reduce the burden of cancer in Nevada. Through their programs in cancer prevention, early detection, education, advocacy — and now patient navigation through ThriveNV — Nevada Cancer Coalition is improving the health and quality of life for Nevadans.

What we’ve learned

The Nevada Cancer Coalition Survivor Focus Group Study identified the needs of cancer survivors in rural Nevada. Survivors need support accessing follow-up care, understanding the treatment they received, and accessing their care plans and follow-up recommendations.

ThriveNV — through our Patient Navigators, statewide community partners, and extensive resource database — is getting cancer patients, survivors and caregivers the tools they need to improve access to care and enhance quality of life, including better communication with their rural providers. In addition to care resources, we are building a support network where the cancer community can connect, learn, collaborate, be empowered, and find new ways to manage health.
